In this post I will want to talk about a great mountain and at the same time the highest in Thailand Doi Inthanon, with its 2565 meters. This mountain is located specifically in the province of Chiang Mai in the north of the country, within the national park that bears his name.
The mountain in the past it was known as "Doi Ang Ka Luang" meaning Great Mountain crows bath as near the base of the mountain there was a pond where many crows gathered; the current name Doi Inthanon was given in honor of the seventh King of Thailand King Inthawichayanon.

En este post os quiero hablar de una gran montaña y a la vez la más alta de Tailandia el Doi Inthanon, con sus 2565 metros. Esta montaña se localiza concretamente en la provincia de Chiang Mai en el norte de país, dentro del parque nacional que lleva su nombre.
La montaña en el pasado era conocida con el nombre de "Doi Luang Ang Ka" que significa Gran montaña del baño de cuervos, ya que cerca de la base de la montaña había un estanque donde se reunían muchos cuervos; el nombre actual Doi Inthanon fue dado en honor al séptimo rey de Tailandia el rey Inthawichayanon.
Si tienes la oportunidad de conocer este bonito lugar, disfrutarás no solo de su increíble belleza de paisajes, si no que podrás ver sus cascadas, sus dos Pagodas y otra peculiaridad que tiene el parque es que se trata de un lugar habitado por diferentes etnias, siendo las más numerosas la Tribu Mon y la Tribu Karen. Con esto otra posibilidad para conocer un poco más de cerca la realidad de las mismas dentro de un país tan fascinante y a la vez tan diverso.
